Managing your class events and student attendance

Viewing and Configuring Class Event Registrations and Attendance in KnowledgeCity LMS
This article provides step-by-step instructions for administrators and instructors on how to view and configure class event registrations and attendance within Knowledge City's Learning Management System (LMS).
Viewing Event Registrations
To view the current class event registrations:
- Start by logging into your LMS dashboard.
- Navigate to the Class Events page via the left side panel.
- Upon entering the Class Events page, you'll see all current class event registrations.
- Each event listing includes details such as the class name or course ID, event date and time, and the registration date for the student.
- Additionally, student information like the username, email, and assigned group is displayed.
- The registration status or approval status for each student is shown on the right-hand side of the page.
Configuring Registration and Approval Status
To make changes to a student’s registration status:
- Locate the Actions column corresponding to the student you wish to manage.
- Click on the Actions option for the chosen student.
- You will then have the option to:
- Reject their registration for the event.
- Set their status as pending.
- Approve them if they were not yet approved.
- Remove them from the class event.
- If a student is already approved, you also have the option to revoke their approval.
Viewing and Editing Event Registrations from User Profiles
To view and modify event registrations from a user’s profile:
- Find and select the user profile for a student registered for a class event.
- Once in the user’s profile, click the Event List tab. This tab displays all the class events for which the student is registered.
- Under the Actions column, you can also:
- Reject or set pending the student's registration status.
- Remove the student from the class event.
- These registration status changes can also be performed within the user profile.
Editing Class Events and Attendance
To modify class events and mark attendance:
- Click on the class registration course ID to navigate to the Course Events tab for the associated course.
- In the Course Events tab:
- Use the Actions column to access the Edit option, allowing further changes to the event itself, such as the date, time, or description.
- Use the Attendance tab to mark students as having attended or missed the event.
- The List Users option at the top of the page enables you to invite new users and change the registration status for the event.
Inviting Users to Class Events
To invite new users to your class event:
- Within the Course Events tab, select List Users.
- From here, you can send out invites to new users or edit the existing registration status of participants.
