Understanding and Navigating your KnowledgeCity Marketplace

The Marketplace is designed to empower you with seamless access to a full catalog of KnowledgeCity courses. The Marketplace not only allows you to easily request additional content within the LMS but also provides you with an internal hub to continuously update and manage our comprehensive course offerings. This ensures you always have access to the latest available content, enhancing the learning experience of your learners, and maximizing the value of your available subscriptions. With Marketplace, we bridge the gaps between content and learning management, delivering a dynamic, up-to-date, and user-friendly platform that supports continuous learning for your growing needs.
Purpose of the Marketplace Feature
The Marketplace is designed to:
- Automate Course Access: Enables you to add courses to your portal and request additional content based on your current subscription.
- Simplify Course Additions: Allow you to add/request access to courses that are not included in your current subscription(s).
- Maintain Up-to-Date Content: The Marketplace provides a hub that lists all courses that are available to you, including new courses.

Steps for LMS Admins to Use the Marketplace
Accessing the Marketplace:

- Log into your LMS as an Admin.
- Click on the Marketplace tab. This tab displays all available courses for your region and account type.
Sorting and Filtering Courses:

- Courses are divided into categories. By default, all categories are displayed.
- Admins can refine their search by selecting specific categories, setting filters, and searching for courses by name. The list can also be sorted based on various attributes.
Previewing and Adding Courses to Cart

Preview Courses:
- Click on a course to view its details. Each course preview includes the course's logo, name, description, additional details, and availability status such as "Not in subscription", "Included in subscription", or "Subscription requested".
- Courses not added to the account will have an "Add to Cart" button. Viewing a course allows admins to preview the course, including descriptions and details.

Add to Cart:
- Click the Add to Cart button on individual courses or use the Add all on page to Cart button to add multiple courses.
- Once a course is added to the cart, the button changes to Remove from Cart, enabling easy removal if needed.

Managing the Cart and Course Addition

View and Manage the Cart:
- Click on the Cart button to view the selected courses.
- If your admin user has access to the Category Manager and access to the portal, checkboxes will be available to publish the courses to the Portal Library. These courses can then be assigned to specific categories using the dropdown menu.

Adjust the Cart:
- Admins can remove courses from the cart or adjust selections using the provided options.
- Ensure to check or uncheck the Add courses that are not in Subscription checkbox as needed. This option controls whether courses that are not included in your current subscription should be requested.

Confirm Course Addition:
- Click on the Add selected courses to Account button.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear. Confirm the action to add courses to the account. A success notification will display once the action is completed. If courses outside of your current subscriptions are included, they will remain in the cart if the option to add courses is unchecked.

Requesting Course Subscriptions

Request New Subscriptions:
- If required, admins can request new subscriptions for courses not included in their existing subscription(s).
- Click on the Request subscription button either from the Marketplace or the cart page.

Fill and Send the Request Form:
- The system displays a prefilled request form based on prior selections. Admins can choose between full access or specific categories.
- Submit the request, and the system will update the course status in the Marketplace as "Subscription requested".
