How to Use Filtering and Bulk Actions in the Knowledge City LMS User List

Managing your learners is made simpler through the Knowledge City LMS's user list page by applying various filters and utilizing bulk actions. In this KnowledgeBase article, we'll guide you step-by-step on how to effectively use these features to organize and manage users within the Learning Management System (LMS).

Accessing the User List

To start, access the User List by following these steps:

  1. Log into your Knowledge City LMS account.
  2. From the LMS Dashboard, find the user list option in the left side panel.
  3. Click on the User List to display a list of all the users enrolled in the LMS.

Overview of User List Page

Once on the User List page, you will see a table that includes several columns showing information such as:

  • Username
  • Full Name
  • Group
  • Employee ID
  • Email Address

Additionally, you'll get an overview related to:

  • Assigned Courses
  • Progress
  • License Status

The Actions column on the right allows for adjustments to be made to individual users.


Filtering the User List

By Group and User Status

  1. Locate the dropdown menus at the top of the page.
  2. Choose to filter the user list by Group or User Status (such as licensed, unlicensed, or active users).

By User Activity

  • Use the User Activity dropdown to filter the user list based on course progress.

Other Filter Options

  • You can filter the list to show either all users, only enabled users, or only disabled users.

Using the Search Field

  1. If you need to find a specific user, utilize the search field in the top right section of the user list.
  2. Input the name, username, or email of the user you're looking for.
  3. Review the search results to quickly navigate to the desired user profile.

To clear the search and return to the full list, simply click the "X" in the search bar.


Applying Bulk Actions to Users

  1. In the number column on the far left, select the checkboxes next to individual users to activate bulk actions.
  2. Once one or more users are selected, you will see new dropdown menus appear:
    • Group Actions dropdown
    • Select Courses List dropdown
    • Dropdown menu to select a group

Group Actions Menu

  • Select multiple users and use the Group Actions dropdown to:
    • Assign licenses in bulk.
    • Resend email notifications about active accounts.
    • Send license information.
    • Remove the selected users in bulk.
    • Other available actions.

Select Courses List Menu

  • Use the Select Courses List dropdown to assign a course list to the selected students.

Select Group Menu

  • Use the Select Group dropdown to move or copy selected students to a different group.

Select/Unselect All

  • Use the Check All on this page option to quickly select or unselect all users on the current page.
