An overview of the KnowledgeCity LMS

Video Walkthrough

Let's review the Home Page of the KnowledgeCity LMS, also known as the LMS Dashboard.

Dashboard & Overview

The LMS Home Page features useful charts and statistics, which serve to provide an overview of student and group progress in the LMS.

Here we can view course progress and assigned license information for all LMS groups or for specific groups using the drop-down menu of the Groups Statistics table.

To the right of the Groups Statistics table, we can view student user status as shown in a pie chart, detailing active, inactive, and unlicensed users.

On the top-right side of the LMS dashboard, we can view a chart of the "Logins per Day" of the users of our LMS portal.

Near the bottom of the LMS Home Page we can find a bar graph detailing our user progress per Group. This provides a glimpse of the training progress for each Group in the LMS portal.

In the Group statistics table, we can see course progress and license information for all student groups by default, or we can choose a specific group to view statistics.

We can also see total and available licenses, how many courses have been viewed past, or courses in progress and other useful information.

Quick Actions

On the left-side panel menu, there is a quick actions option to quickly create new Users, Course lists, and Groups.

User List

In the LMS User List, there is a list of all existing users in our LMS portal. Here we can manage existing users and user profile information.

Import Users

The Import Users feature of the LMS allows us to import users in bulk by uploading a list file or Microsoft Excel sheet. New users can be very quickly imported into the LMS to be assigned course trainings with just a few clicks of the mouse.

User Groups

The User Groups feature of the LMS allows us to create and manage our students into groups for custom tailored assignments and progress tracking.

License Manager

The License Manager shows our active subscriptions for which we can assign licenses to students to provide course access to them as needed. Available licenses and license rotations can be utilized with this feature.

Courses

The Courses page allows us to create and view new course content in the LMS. Here we can also view a list of Portal Courses, which are the Courses that are provided to us by KnowledgeCity.

Class Events

The Class Events option allows us to create Online or Offline classes that can be tracked in the LMS. Online Events are also known as Webinars. This feature also allows for hosting virtual meetings or webinars that a student can join right within the LMS itself with no additional software required.

Curriculum

The Curriculum page provides an overview of the available courses within the portal and displays student progress and earned certificates for those who have passed their course(s).

Reports

Our robust Reports feature allows us to generate detailed reports on user and group progress, course and quiz statistics, training hours spent and past or incomplete courses. Our Reports feature also allows us to generate specific and/or customized reports.

LMS Admins

The LMS Admins page allows us to customize administrator privileges and permissions and custom tailor who and who does not have access to certain pages, features, or groups. LMS Admins can edited or removed through this feature.

Activity Log

The Activity Log will log recent activity made in the LMS to better track any recent changes or which user may have made changes or had changes made to their information within the LMS.
